I have total of nine years of teaching experience: four years as a home tutor in Japan, two years as a private cram school tutor in Japan, three years as a universty instructor in the US (Music History, Voice Lessons, Japanese as a Second Language, Contemporary Japanese History). As I have experienced classroom teaching for elementary school which is attached to a university, I have become skilled to teach very young children as well. Initially I wanted to pursue a high school teaching career, so I had a few experiences of taking classes of year 7-11 students in secondary schools. So I am comfortable tutoring Year 7-12 students with their Japanese. It is my goal to engage the students not only in the language learning itself, but also to the cultural aspects of Japan. I have learnt lessons on various Japanese cultural activities, through my visit to Japan and through assistance from a Japanese native living in Melbourne.
